TTG Logo On May 16th, as every month, there will be the Torino Technologies Group (TTG) community event, hosted in Microsoft Innovation Center Torino (Italy).

Together with Fabrizio Accatino, another TTG member, I will present an introductory session about Windows Azure, its new features and will show some basic samples about Web Sites, Virtual Machines, Cloud Services, Storage and Service Bus.

Yesterday I completed another Microsoft Certification path: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) in Web Applications. Since last year, I've been involved in a number of web and cloud-related projects both at work and in my spare time, which let me learn a lot of cool stuff about web development, distributed architectures, HTML5, Javascript, CSS3 and Windows Azure: after passing the 70-487 (Developing Windows Azure and Web Services) exam last August and the 70-480 (Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3) exam in December, I decided to complete the MCSD certification path and yesterday I passed the new 70-486 (Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications) exam.

It is an easy car fuel tracking system with simple data analysis. It easily tracks your car refuel history and fuel economy. Data input takes just few seconds each time, then the app takes care of the rest, such as calculating MPG and other interesting statistics.

WE8S Train The Trainer Course in Paris

Beps trainers in Paris Yesterday all BEPS Engineering trainers attended a Train The Trainer course about Windows Embedded 8 Standard in Microsoft France, Paris.

The class was composed by a number of trainers from all over Europe, but BEPS people (in the photo, from left to right: Marco, Salvatore, Dorangela, Gianni and Beppe) counted for more than half of the class!

During the day we collected lots of useful information and material to teach the official Microsoft course about the new Windows Embedded 8 Standard.

Kinect for Windows SDK v1.7

Some Kinect 1.7 Samples Yesterday Microsoft released a new version of the Kinect for Windows SDK. It represents a significant update to the SDK since Microsoft released the first version a little over a year ago and, with the new features and enhancements introduced, new applications are now possible for businesses and developers. In addition to the updated SDK, a new and improved Human Interface Guidelines has been made available on Kinect website.
